2019.10.12 Saturdays are special.

Saturdays are special because I serve as an ordinance worker in the Portland Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Since I am starting a new blog, I am going to explain the purpose of the temples. The only way to access all the blessings of Jesus Christ's atonement; his suffering for our sin in the Garden of Gethsemane, crucifixion on the Golgotha Hill, and Resurrection, one must practice the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel path has been characterized as the covenant path. All covenants in the Gospel are established by enacting ordinances by the proper of authority of God. God will bless all the nations of the world to access these ordinances; however, most nations in the history of the world did not have a fair chance at applying the Gospel. The main way that the nations of time will access the covenants is by proxy work done in the temples; furthermore, not all people that are part of the covenant will be saved. One must repent and be faithful. A question may be posed. How can a spirit repent when many nations of time are dead and past? When men die, their spirits go the spirit world. The spirit world has two states. They are called paradise and spirit prison. The blessed and happy state of the faithful remains theirs after their death in paradise, and the captive state of the unrepentant in mortality dwell in spirit prison. There was no preaching in the spirit world until Jesus Christ organized the work after his death during the three days before his resurrection. The gospel is preached slightly different in the spirit world because the people in spirit prison don't have their bodies. A spirit cannot be baptized without a body. They have to wait until someone does their ordinance for them as proxy in the temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The work in the temple is truly guided by the Holy Ghost. People are guided to go to locations, not planning to do specific work, and they find that their presence is needed. I saw this many times as I served. I did not only happen to me; but other people.

Today was the first Saturday that we practiced the new policy where anyone can serve as a witness, and I was juggled around between rooms to serve as a proxy son of parents for their sealing.

In the afternoon, I reposted the entries that I posted on Bloglovin'. It may have been because I am using an iPad 2 with iOS 9.3.5, but all of my paragraphs were merged into one big one, when I posted on Bloglovin'. I could not continue to post with Bloglovin'.

We also went grocery shopping. We need to figure out how to keep in budget. The first week of the month was thrown off because Jessica wanted to by the dirty dozen produce as organic. This week was thrown off for an unknown reason because we did not by organic.
